and training, for the best use of concrete in the NZ
marketplace.

The Cement & Concrete Association of New Zealand
is a profit-free organisation whose mission is to develop,
promote and encourage, the competitive, safe and innovative
use of cement and concrete products, and to improve
public product-awareness through information systems

Objectives
Principal Object
The principal object of the association
is the promotion of the competitive, safe, innovative and sustainable
use of cement, concrete and concrete products in a professional
and ethical manner.
Market Promotion
To promote the increased use per capita in New Zealand of
cement and concrete products through expansion of existing markets and development
of new market opportunities.
Market Defense
To defend existing markets against competitor products and
against threats from
current and proposed legislation, regulations, building codes
or practices or any
other proposals which might constrain the use of cement or
concrete products.
Environmental Responsibility
To support New Zealands international obligations to
the Framework Convention on Climate Change in respect of Voluntary
Agreements to mitigate emissions of carbon dioxide through
best practices, and to promote compliance with the Resource
Management Act wherever practically possible.
Industry Education
To promote and co-ordinate industry education needs in the
use of cement and concrete in co-operation with relevant/interested
sector groups.
Publications
In pursuit of its objectives, the Association publishes technical
manuals and bulletins, conducts seminars and courses, and
provides a technical advisory service which is freely available
to the construction industry and other users of cement and
concrete.
Research
In all its undertakings the Association bases the integrity
of its work on soundly-based research, (both local and overseas),
the expertise and practical experience of its staff and its
reputation for technical excellence.
